Overview

GHRSSIDC is actively engaged in development of handicrafts with the objective of assisting the Artisans in marketing their products through the 10 emporia situated in Goa.

GHRSSIDC identifies budding and talented persons in Goa who have keen interest in producing handicraft items based on Goan Art and Culture. Such budding persons are also imparted training by organising training in a batch of 20 each.

The sole objective of developing Handicrafts Artisans is to make them self employed by producing the Handicrafts items for which the Corporation extends marketing outlets as stated above.

After imparting training to the Artisans, Corporation extends them marketing assistance. Artisans therefore need to register with GHRSSIDC for which a prescribed form is issued at Rs. 10/- each. Artisans have to furnish required information asked in the registration form and submit their rates along with the items to the Corporation for approval. Once this process is over, the Corporation places required orders on Artisans at approved rates.
